This Privacy Policy explains how myEMSpath, Inc. (“myEMSpath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website myemspath.com, our mobile application(s), and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
A. Information You Provide to Us
Individual accounts
Contact information: name, email address
Career and credential information: certifications and credential details (including certificate/license numbers and expiration dates), education/programs completed, qualifications, work experience, and resumes
Opt-in visibility information: if you choose to be visible to employers/training centers, information you choose to make available through your opt-in profile (see Section 6)
Employer and Training Center accounts
Contact information: email address
Billing information: information necessary to process subscription payments (processed via Stripe—see Section 7). We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:
Device and usage data: pages/screens viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and referring/exit pages
Log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and operating system information
Website cookies/analytics: we use analytics tools on our website to understand site usage and improve Services (see Section 5)
In-app notifications: We provide in-app notifications. (You indicated these are in-app only, not push notifications.)
C. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
You indicated you do not collect sensitive data (such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers beyond payment processing, or medical records/PHI). Please do not submit sensitive information through the Services.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the Services
Create and manage accounts and user profiles
Enable certification and career information tracking and display within the Services
If you opt in, display your profile/resume information to employers and training centers (Section 6)
Provide in-app notifications and service communications
Process subscriptions and billing for employers and training centers
Send newsletters to users who subscribe on the website (you may unsubscribe at any time)
Monitor, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms
Comply with applicable laws and enforce our agreements
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information in these situations:
A. With Employers and Training Centers (Only If You Opt In)
If you choose to be visible, employers and training centers may view your opt-in profile information, which may include:
Resume
Profile information
Certifications (including certificate/license numbers and expiration dates)
Education/programs completed
Qualifications
Work experience
Contact information (including your email address and phone number)
You can change your visibility settings through the Services (subject to reasonable processing time).
B. With Service Providers
We share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, customer support, and email delivery). These providers are permitted to use information only to perform services for us.
C. Payment Processing
Payments for employer and training center subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe processes payment information according to its own policies and terms. We receive limited information necessary to confirm payment status and manage subscriptions.
D. Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers
We may disclose information:
To comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests
To protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the Services, and the public
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale/transfer of assets (information may be transferred as part of that transaction)
4. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes such as compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our agreements.
Account deletion: If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information from our active systems within 1 week, except:
information we must retain for legal or compliance reasons,
information needed for fraud prevention and security, and
information that may remain in backups for a limited period (and will be removed in the normal course of backup rotation).
Business listings and archives: Employers and training centers may archive listings after removal. Archived listings and related business account records may be retained to support account history, compliance, and operational needs.
5. Cookies and Analytics (Website)
We use Google Analytics on myemspath.com to understand how visitors use the website and to improve performance and content. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your use of the website and report website trends.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and may be able to opt out of certain Google Analytics collection through Google’s tools/settings. If you disable cookies, some site features may not function properly.
6. Your Choices and Controls
A. Opt-In Visibility
If you opt in to be visible, your profile/resume information becomes viewable by employers and training centers as described above. You may change your visibility settings within the Services.
If you opt in, you understand that employers and training centers may view your email address and phone number and may contact you directly using that information.
B. Newsletter Emails
If you subscribe to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe using the link in the email or by contacting us.
C. Account Information
You can update certain information in your account at any time through the Services.
7. User Rights and How to Exercise Them
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights such as:
Access: request a copy of the personal information we maintain about you
Correction: request correction of inaccurate information
Deletion: request deletion of your information
Portability: request a copy of certain information in a portable format
Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from newsletters at any time
How to exercise rights: Email firstresponder@myemspath.com with your request. For security, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
8. Children and Minors
Our Services are used by EMS-related users, and you indicated minors may use the Services with parent/guardian consent.
We do not collect date of birth and rely on self-attestation regarding age. The Services are not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at firstresponder@myemspath.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to third-party job boards, employer websites, training providers, or other third-party services. When you click a third-party link or complete a transaction (such as applying for a job or registering/paying for a course), you are interacting with that third party, and their privacy practices govern.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting an updated version and changing the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after an update becomes effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
